Natural gas powertrains for CNG and LNG
When liquified natural gas (LNG) is used, the cryogenic natural gas is heated and vaporized, then fed to the engine via the fuel injection system. With central point injection (CPI), the natural gas is fed from the natural gas distributor (NGD) into the intake manifold. The medium pressure sensor measures the pressure and temperature in the NGD.
